Join us for the First Ever “Buddies Without Boundaries” 3K Community Fun Walk and Carnival for Children with Special Needs! Saturday, November 7, 2009, Founders Park (on the blacktop behind Ladera Ranch Middle School at Sellas Road North and Snapdragon) in Ladera Ranch – presented by Experea Healthcare. Proceeds from the Walk will benefit the Edgerton family of Ladera Ranch. With a goal of raising $50,000 and only a few short months to plan, our dedicated Buddies without Boundaries committee is determined to make the Edgerton family’s dream come true! The day will kick off with a 3k Community Walk. The Walk will begin where Sellas Road North meets Snapdragon Street. Participants will remain on the sidewalk as they make two loops around the parameter of Founders Park. Teen volunteers will be available to help children with special needs make their way along the route. All children from all communities and their families are welcome and encouraged to join the Walk. Immediately following the 3K, the fun will continue with a carnival complete with live entertainment, a petting zoo, games and activities designed especially for children with special needs, although without boundaries, fun can be had by all! We expect over 300 children to be our guests at the carnival and over 700 walkers to participate in the 3k Buddies without Boundaries Walk. Click here to register for this fun and fantastic event!
